The International Organisation for Standardization
(ISO) is a worldwide federation of national
standards bodies from some 140 countries, with
one body representing each country. This non-governmental
organisation was established in 1947 for the
purpose of enhancing quality, increasing reliability,
and improving health and safety of products
and services worldwide. In Malaysia, SIRIM is
the body that is responsible for providing certification,
inspection and testing services that conform
to national and international standards and
guides.
For 6 years consecutively, DSH (HQ) was awarded
ISO 9001:2008 recognition by SIRIM. Such Accreditation
is a formal recognition to certify that DSH
(HQ) is competent to carry out specific tasks
such as certification, testing, inspection and
calibration.
