Dr. Umaparan is a Consultant General Surgeon with over 15 years of clinical experience managing a wide range of surgical conditions. He focuses on delivering care using evidence-based strategies and recognised surgical techniques.

Dr. Umaparan performs both open and minimally invasive surgeries and provides endoscopic procedures and laser general surgical procedures. His background in peri-operative and intensive care management includes the management of cases across general surgery, trauma care, and endoscopy.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Umaparan serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor (Senior Lecturer in Surgery) at the University of Cyberjaya, where he contributes to medical education through lectures, clinical skills teaching, and problem-based learning. His academic work includes curriculum involvement, policy participation, and research in surgery and medical education.
