Datin Dr. K. Mangalaveni is a distinguished Consultant Physician specializing in Internal Medicine with a profound commitment to enhancing healthcare services in Malaysia. Dr. Mangalaveni earned her MBBS from the University of Malaya in 1974, followed by the Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP) in the United Kingdom in 1976. She further distinguished herself by attaining the Academy of Medicine Malaysia (AM) in 1983.


Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Mangalaveni is renowned for her dedication to special needs education and care. In 1998, she co-founded the Institut Masalah Pembelajaran & Autisme Malaysia (IMPIAN), a training center for children with learning disabilities and autism. As the Director and Chairperson of IMPIAN, she has been instrumental in developing programs that include early intervention, functional academics, vocational training, and various therapeutic services aimed at unlocking the potential of special needs children.


Dr. Mangalaveni's leadership extends to her role as the founding CEO and Consultant Physician of Seavoy Nursing Home. Under her guidance, Seavoy Nursing Home provides compassionate and comprehensive care for the elderly, emphasizing holistic wellness and personalized attention.


Her contributions to autism awareness and support are further highlighted by her tenure as the President and Chairman of the National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM) from 1986 to 1996, where she played a pivotal role in advocating for individuals with autism and their families.
