Profile

Datuk Dr. Maheswaran Sithampalam is the Director and Lead Consultant at Concept Fertility Centre, located within Damai Service Hospital (HQ), Kuala Lumpur, where he has served as a resident consultant since 1999. He has over 28 years of experience in obstetrics, gynaecology, reproductive medicine, and assisted reproductive techniques (ART), including IVF and ICSI.


Dr. Maheswaran completed his postgraduate training in Cardiff, United Kingdom, with a focus on reproductive medicine, and later undertook further training in assisted reproduction at King Edward Hospital, Perth, Australia. His clinical practice includes managing fertility-related conditions, reproductive health issues, and assisted conception techniques for individuals and couples.


He holds several medical qualifications, including an MBBS (University of Madras, India, 1987), MRCOG (1997), FRCOG (2011), and a Certificate in Assisted Reproduction (Australia). He is also a member of the Academy of Medicine, Malaysia (AM Mal).


In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Maheswaran is involved in professional and regulatory roles. He serves as the President of MSART, is the Country Representative of ASPIRE, and holds leadership positions within the Malaysian Medical Council, including Acting Chairman of the Disciplinary Board and Chairman of the Preliminary Investigation Committee.
