Dr. Mohd. Ismail b. Mohd. Tambi is a medical practitioner with extensive experience in Men's Reproductive & Sexual Health, reproductive medicine, and men’s health. He currently serves as the Acting Director at the Specialist Reproductive Human Research Center, National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN), Kuala Lumpur, and as a Visiting Doctor in Clinical Andrology and Infertility for the Family Development Foundation in Terengganu, Malaysia.
Dr. Ismail has been involved in developing strategies related to family planning, infertility management, and reproductive health initiatives across Malaysia, including programmes focusing on rural communities. His work includes clinical duties, teaching, research, and training. He also holds appointments on standardization committees, consults for research institutes, and facilitates premarital courses.
His international experience includes a WHO Research Fellowship in Clinical Andrology and Semenology at the Monash Medical Research Centre, Prince Henry’s Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. He also completed a WHO Postgraduate Certificate in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health from the University of Debrecen, Hungary. Dr. Ismail’s academic foundation includes an MBBS from South India, followed by a Diploma in Reproductive Medicine from the College of General Medicine, Malaysia.
In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Ismail has authored more than 15 books and numerous articles on topics related to infertility, sexual health, and clinical andrology. He has also presented his research at national and international platforms.
