Dr. Prakesh K.A. Karpaya has accumulated a wealth of diverse experience within the medical field, beginning with his undergraduate education at Kursk State Medical University in the Russian Federation, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2008. His professional journey commenced as a House Officer at Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah in Kuala Pilah, serving in several departments, including Orthopedics and Traumatology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Paediatrics. Dr. Prakesh then progressed to the role of Medical Officer in the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Unit at the same hospital.

Subsequently, he served as a Medical Officer in the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Unit at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. His diverse experiences also included roles as a GP at Klinik Raj dan Rakan Rakan, Medical Consultant for PC Maju Sdn Bhd, and Resident Doctor at The KL Sky Clinic.

Dr. Prakesh provides clinical services in areas such as the management of non-communicable diseases, immunizations, medical screenings, and minor surgical procedures. He also provides clinical care involving airway management, ventilatory support, and vascular access procedures, among others. He has completed post-basic certificate courses including Neonatal Resuscitation, Basic Assessment and Support in Intensive Care, and Advanced Life Support.

He received the Excellent Service Award from Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri, Negeri Sembilan, in 2014. His clinical interests span Primary Care Medicine, Family Medicine, General Practice Anaesthesia, Orthopedics, and Emergency Medicine.
