Profile
Dr Roshita Omar is a medical practitioner who earned her medical degree from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, in September 1995. She began her career with a year of housemanship at Kuala Lumpur General Hospital in 1996, then served for three years as a Medical Officer in the Accident and Emergency Department of the same hospital.
During this period, she completed several professional development courses, including:
Basic Life Support (BLS) in March 1998
Malaysian Trauma and Life Support (MTLS) in March–April 1998
Wound Management Workshop in April 1999
One Stop Crisis Centre (OSCC) training in May 1999
Dr Roshita also coordinated and facilitated First Responder Life Support (FRLS) courses, providing training to medical students, SMART teams, and private-sector groups. In addition, she provided emergency medical standby for visiting dignitaries during official visits and meetings.
