Dr. Tan Liam Chwee is a Consultant General Surgeon with over 24 years of experience in the medical field. He provides a range of surgical procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, and breast surgery.

Dr. Tan Liam Chwee has an extensive educational and professional background in medicine and surgery. He earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons.) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 1985, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universitas Andalas in 1993. He later obtained a Master of Surgery (General Surgery) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2001. He completed a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery in India in 2010.

Dr. Tan received the Excellent Service Award ("Melintang") from the Ministry of Health, Perak, in 2002. After gaining experience, he served as a General Surgeon at Ipoh Hospital (2001–2002). He then completed a subspecialty attachment in Plastic Surgery at HKL in 2002 and continued his surgical practice at Kajang Hospital from 2002 to 2003. He has been a life member of the Malaysian Medical Association since 1998 and has held memberships with the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia (since 2005), the Society for Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine Malaysia (since 2006), and the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (life member since 2010).

Dr. Tan has conducted research and authored publications on a variety of medical topics, including bioavailability studies, fracture and tumour management approaches, surgical timing, use of appendices in procedures, management approaches for selected surgical conditions, and post-operative considerations. His research work, spanning from 1985 to 2001, reflects his involvement in medical academic activities.
